• Upon successful completion, the WiFi Network Status screen will be displayed
SSID
Select SSID and press the “Select” button to scan for available networks.
After the thermostat completes a network scan, the available networks will be displayed.
Use the up/down arrow buttons to scroll through the available networks
Press Join to join the selected network
Press Scan to scan again
Press New to enter a new SSID network name to join
DHCP Configuration
If the network router supplies IP address Dynamically (DHCP):
• Select “SSID” from list shown on screen, press “Join” button
• Or, press the Scan button to rescan for SSID
• Or, manually enter the SSID network name (Case / character capable)
• Select DHCP enabled (this is the default mode)
• Once the router / SSID is selected, the WiFi radio will auto-detect the appropriate
security protocol
• Or, manually select the security type (Adhoc, WPA1, WPA2, WPA1+WPA2,
WEP)
• Enter the security key (Case sensitive and character capable)
• Select Done to save settings
Security
Select the security type for the network selected: Adhoc, Open, WEP, WPA1,WPA2
Key
Enter the Passphrase for the network selected.
IP Address (for static IP configurations)
To set a Static IP address:
• Disable DHCP by pressing the “-“ key
• Enter IP Address (if static IP)
• Enter the Subnet Mask
• Enter the Default Gateway address
• Enter the DNS address
• Enter the Port number. The WiFi radio communicates on Port 2000, this
should be left in the default setting
• Enter the Channel number. Auto mode is the default (recommended)
• Select Done to save settings
Ad Hoc Mode
The Wi-Fi radio can also be placed into Ad Hoc mode which enables Peer-to-Peer
communication without a network router.
• Select Ad Hoc in the Setup menu. The default mode is Disabled
• Press the “+” key to change to Enabled
o sets the thermostat IP address to: 169.254.1.1
o sets the Subnet to: 255.255.0.0
• Select Done to save settings
